My Teachers

Yanaihara, Tadao (1893-1961)

My teacher of faith and the truth. He was a Christian prophet and the conscience of Japan lived in the World War II. He, like Jeremiah, dwelled in purity of faith and sorrow of truth.

Sato, Issai (1906-1992)

My teacher of faith in childhood. He founded the Abukuma Non-church. He was pure, passionate, and faithful. He sowed the seed of Gospel to the baren land of Abukuma country. Few believed his demonstration of the truth.

Weber, Max (1868-1921)

My teacher of social science. The founder of sociology, A seeker after the truth. He first opened my eyes to the historical development of the elimination of the magic from the world. That is to say, any sacraments whether baptism or the Lord Supper even the ordination of priest have no use for salvation. Sacraments are the sublimated forms of magic and the obstacle to the manifestation of the truth. No magic, no sacrament and no church.

My Name

I was born on the 24th of the 1st month in 1961. Issai Sato, my teacher of faith, named my first name Moriyuki ("The Observer of the Law") after Joshua 1:6-7:

Be strong and of a good courage: for to this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land, which I swear to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you shall observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Because Teacher Sato also named my elder brother "Truth and Peace," he preferred to call us "The Observers of Truth and Peace."

For my last name Abukuma, I adopted it when I was born again in my 20s although my registered last name is "Murakami." "Abukuma" is my home country as well as my parents and Teacher Sato. Teacher Sato also named his Christian Meeting "Abukuma Non-church." Thus, I am a true son of Abukuma.
