07/20

Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

2 Corinthians 13:11

Joy with God

How wonderful is to abide with God. There is harmony and perfection in peace, activity, righteousness, mercy, thought, and love with God; nothing is lacking. I need not to have the nature, nor human society to fill my longing. As long as I live with God of Christ Jesus, I can live as a man of absolute satisfaction.

07/21

I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye sees You. Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Job 42: 5-6

True Christian

Be a true Christian, not satisfied merely with being a Church believer, nor with a philosophical or biblical believer. Virtually, become God's children, endowed practically with God's indwelling powers. Not merely to speak of Christianity, but to experience and practice it. I feel a supernatural power indwelling within myself, which works a fundamental change of my whole being, beyond reach of any other human or my own efforts. Then as a consequence, to dread nothing in the world, and to play a person, at whose voice even the devil would tremble. This is to be sought after to become a Christian who can confess with Job, "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; but now mine eye sees You."

07/22

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, nor do they spin, but I say to you that even Solomon in his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Therefore if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much rather clothe you, little-faiths? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, With what shall we be clothed?

Matthew 6:28-31

Worry Not Tomorrow

Worry not your life. My God will provide for all our needs. We live in this universe of God's creation, each and everything work for our good. Why, notwithstanding then, we worry and fear of evils overtaking us? Oh, how thin-believer we are. Faith means true understanding of God the Creator and the universe created. To spend life in endless fearfulness, without realizing true good and true beauty of life, must be an utter ignorance. Lack of faith is a pity rather than a evil. Even our common sense teaches us to believe in God and spend our days in peace and joy.

07/23

This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many. Truly I say to you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the Nation of God.

Mark 14:24-25

Blood of Christ

Christ's blood, shed at His death, has already redeemed our sin and made us righteous. But it remains with each of us lifelong to have His blood cleanse us from all sins. Christ's blood cleanses us, but not all at once. God's lamb has been slaughtered from the beginning of the world, and His blood will cleanse human sin to the end of the world. Redemption was done once in the past but its completion belongs to the future work. Hence, the need for us to be purified, day by day, from our sins by Christ's blood.

07/24

Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. For you shall surely eat the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and all is well with you.

Psalms 128: 1-2

Value of Labor

Jesus was a laborer. I learned the value of labor through Him. Labor is important not to earn livelihood but to develop the heart. Temptation and doubt are solved only by labor, not by meditation. Labor of life is like the drainage in swamp that gets rid of rotten water and makes land fruitful. Temptation comes from much worrying and less laboring. We need not to throw ourselves in the mouth of a volcano, but just enough to serve a labor. By labor, the troubled heart like tangled thread becomes arranged and the song of praise flows out of the mouth.

07/25

I am one who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness concerning Me.

John 8:18

See Truth

See the truth itself, but do not expect the outcome of the truth. The outcome depends on the person who receives it. The truth does not always make a person good. Some person may become worse than before he or she encountered the truth. It is as if a candle melts under the heart of the sun, or clay hardens. The gospel of Christ may not save but destroy a nation. Nevertheless, the gospel is the truth. The truth of the Gospel does not depend on the outcome that it is not received by many in the world. The truth is truth even if no one recognize it. The growing number of the believer does not prove the truth of the belief. In many cases, on the contrary, the majority follows the false belief. The truth is self-evident regardless its outcome. The truth cannot be value-judged by the observation of social science. The truth is proved by only the son of the truth.

07/26

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Hebrews 11: 1

Proof of Faith

Those Christians, trying to prove faith to themselves and others, are not wise. Faith in its very nature is unprovable. Proven faith is not faith, but sight. Because it believes in things not seen (not proved), therefore it is faith. Much of so-called evidences of Christianity are no evidences at all. Faith is its own proof, and is self-evidencing. It believes because it "has witness borne to it." To prove faith is as difficult as to prove mathematical postulate. Nothing is so puzzling as faith to those who have it not; all the arguments in the world cannot give it. Therefore it was said: "Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed" (John 20:29).

07/27

You are of the Devil as your father, and the lusts of your father you will do. You are murderers from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth because there is no truth in you.

John 8:44

Religion of Minority

The believer of Christ is one who is directed by God and seeks all matter of life for Him. This world, in contrast, is directed by the evil. The believer is of God, while this world is of devil. This is a evident reality. The world belongs to the devil utilizing science, literature, and arts. There may be some good in the world, but the total direction of the world is evil. There may be some righteous persons, but as a whole the world is of devil. Christianity is never the religion of majority. The believers are always minority. The majority is always the followers of the devil.

07/28

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not delight in your solemn assemblies. Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your food offerings, I will not be pleased. Nor will I regard the peace offerings of your fat animals. Take the noise of your songs away from Me; for I will not hear the melody of your stringed instruments. But let judgment roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.

Amos 5:21-24

Ceremony

The simpler a ceremony is, the better it is. A ceremony shall be as solemn as it is simple. The Bible does not describe about Christ's funeral service. Neither do we know how the apostles were buried. Moses, a man of God, died; and "Jehovah buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethlehem; but no man knows of his sepulchre to this day" (Deuteronomy 34: 6). Yea, the funeral service; aye too, the wedding ceremony. Witness will be sufficient by God, the nature, and a few friends. You have decidedly no need to feign grandiosity to attract the eyes of the world.

07/29

We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive the things done in one's body, according to that which one has done, whether good or bad.

2 Corinthians 5:10

Last Judgment

God's judgment will come; surely it will. But, instead of judging by Himself, He assigned all the judgment to His Son. We are thus judged most mercifully by Christ, who is deep in compassion and forgiveness. Christ Himself preferred pardon to sacrifices, and judged humans principally according to the human's mercy. Thus, the criterion of Christ's judgment is Human's mercy, not the so-called righteousness of humans, and even not the confession of human, proclaiming perfect diligence in dogma, ritual and evangelization. The measurement is Christ's mercy, his compassion, his heart to pardon, his nature to grant, and his act of love. Upon this depends the eternal destiny of a human. The last judgment will be a judgment of love. This will determine whether an endless torment or eternal life are for a human.
