Give, and it shall be given to you, good measure pressed down and shaken together and running over, they shall give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you measure, it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38
Give First
You will be comforted only when you first comfort somebody. You will be helped only when you first help somebody. You will be given only when you first give somebody. Just as the Lord said: "Give, and it shall be given to you. . . With the same measure that you measure, it shall be measured to you again." One will never ever be comforted, lamenting only one's own weakness, repairing only one's own insufficiency, and feeling only one's own pain. Do you want to be comforted? Go and comfort those who are less fortunate than yourself. Do you want to be helped? Help those weaker than you. Do you want to be given? Give those who have less than you. You cannot receive unless your first give. You shall be measured by the same measure that you measure.

Faith in Christ
Christ stands for our righteousness, holiness and redemption. He is my moral law, my faith and my salvation. All what I ought to do for God has been accomplished in Christ. As unrighteous as I am, I can stand before God, as His righteous one, by believing Christ. As stained as I am, I can stand before God, as His holy one, by believing Christ. My salvation is not yet perfected, but, by the faith of Christ, I am counted as one already saved. Salvation is perfected by God through faith. This may be a stumbling block to the Jews or a fool to the Greeks. But, to the called, this is the ultimate truth and the highest power (1 Corinthians 1:23).
